Spanish Town, St Catherine — Police investigators are now searching for gunmen responsible for the fatal shooting of two men along Williams Street in Spanish Town on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m., when the victims reportedly stopped near a business establishment and were ambushed by two armed men who opened fire, hitting them multiple times.
Attackers Flee Scene on Foot
According to reports, the shooters escaped on foot following the gun attack. The victims were rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where they were pronounced dead upon arrival. Their identities have not yet been released by the authorities.
No Motive Yet Determined
At this time, no clear motive has been established for the double murder. Law enforcement sources say detectives assigned to the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are actively investigating the case.
Police have since launched a major manhunt for the perpetrators, while forensic teams continue to process the scene in search of clues that may help identify those responsible.
Residents of the area have expressed concern about the recent surge in gun violence in and around Spanish Town, urging authorities to increase patrols and improve security in high-risk communities.
